BORISOV/ST PETERSBURG (SW) - Real Madrid join Juventus in the next round of the Champions League following a narrow but sufficient win over BATE Borisov.
Raul scored the only goal of the match between BATE and Real Madrid after just seven minutes. The Spaniards had very few difficulties defending their lead and controlling the game from then on.
Zenit St Petersburg and Juventus held each other to a goalless draw in Russia earlier on the day.
Juventus had already qualified for the next round, while the draw was enough to earn Zenit a spot in the UEFA Cup. BATE's European season will be over after the sixth match day.
