Patrick Müller today played his first competitive game since 5 August when he turned out for Olympique Lyonnais' reserves against Red Star 93, in a match attended by Switzerland coach Jakob Kuhn.

The 31-year-old's aspirations of playing at UEFA EURO 2008™ looked to have evaporated when he tore knee ligaments in December while on the comeback trail following a similar injury at the start of the season. Those hopes look to have been reignited.
