BIRMINGHAM (SW) - Aston Villa’s Norwegian striker John Carew has pledged his allegiance to the club, for the next two years at least.

The club – hopping striker joined Aston Villa from Olympique Lyon in January 2007 in a swap deal with Milan Baros.

The twenty eight year old Carew has already spent time with Valerenga, Rosenborg, Valencia, Roma, Besiktas and Lyon.

In an interview Carew said that he was extremely happy at the club and would consider extending his stay after the remaining two years of his contract if the club felt the same way about him.

He added that the Premier League suited his style best.
