BERLIN (AFP) - Bayern Munich's general manager Uli Hoeness on Thursday launched an amusing tirade against Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich's attempts to use his financial muscle to turn the London club into world beaters.
"I'm annoyed when I go each week to fill up with petrol. This petrol mafia are taking the money I need to give to my players," Hoeness told German sports website www.spox.com.
"I'm disgusted and it's because of Mr Abramovich."
"This mafia rule the world and manipulate the price of petrol," added Hoeness.
"We have to beat teams like Chelsea on the pitch - that will be our compensation," said Hoeness, a former Bayern player and German international.

An unwise statement by Uli Hoeness! I have a suggestion for him! He could dig for petrol in his own back yard so that he can have it cheap! It's time we realize that petrol in not a renewable resource and that we start looking for other sources of energy.BesTalentScout August 8th, 2008 07:17

Bes TalentScout, tell me, where did you buy your pocket size vocabulary? Buy the Oxford Dictionary. It's more in depth than the one you have! .BesTalentScout August 8th, 2008 17:43
