Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan´s legal battle with former manager Iain Dowie is over after both parties came to an out-of-court settlement.

Dowie was found guilty of making "false representations" in June last year when he obtained release from a £1million compensation clause in his contract with Palace in May 2006.

Jordan argued that, as a gesture of goodwill, he had waived the clause because Dowie had wanted to relocate nearer his family in Bolton - only to be appointed manager of Palace´s south London rivals Charlton eight days later.
