MANCHESTER, Jan 18 (SW) - Manchester United ended the dreams of Conference side Burton Albion, thrashing them at Old Trafford in their third-round replay on Wednesday night. Elsewhere, Everton edged out Millwall at Goodison Park in their replay.

Manchester United - Burton Albion 5-0

Louis Saha gave the Red Devils an early 1-0 lead just seven minutes in, converting after a cross by Kieran Richardson picked him out from the left.

Giuseppe Rossi headed home a cross by Mikaël Silvestre on 22 minutes to extend United's lead, and that was the score at half-time. United would, however, turn it on after the break even more.

Rossi's pass led to a powerful strike by Richardson in the 52nd minute and Ryan Giggs was the recipient of another Rossi pass 16 minutes later which he slotted into the net and Rossi then got his second goal of the match on a deflected shot late on.

United will now play Wolverhampton at Molineux on the final Sunday of the month in their fourth round tie.

Everton - Millwall 1-0

Everton now have a tougher tie, a home tie against Premiership leaders Chelsea, after they disposed of former FA Cup finalists Millwall thanks to a solitary Tim Cahill goal.

Cahill, who played seven seasons with Millwall before joining Everton, slid in to meet a pass by James Beattie and the ball looped past goalkeeper Andy Marshall into the net.
